Nearly two miles long, waving palm trees grow on the fine sandy wonderful Bo Phut Beach. At this tranquil beach you can fully unwind and re-charge your batteries while absorbing the laid-back island vibe. Bo Phut Beach offers jaw-dropping views over the Gulf of Thailand and Phangan Island.

Before Koh Samui’s invasion of huge tourist crowds, Bo Phut was just a tiny and sleepy fishing village and a number of fishermen still passionately practice their profession here. But fishing boats aren’t the only ships leaving from Bo Phut as today also speedboats depart from here with onboard tourists and diving enthusiasts touring the island’s surrounding sparkling blue waters.

Bo Phut is situated within a short distance of Koh Samui’s unique airport, which was designed to blend into the surrounding natural territory, and nearby one of the ferry piers, from which where boats depart frequently to Koh Phangan, one of Thailand’s most popular backpackers’ destination with its famous Full Moon Parties. Bo Phut offers good dining options with a fine selection of atmospheric restaurants. Sampling some of the mouth-watering seafood dishes is a must for the true gastronomist.

Visitors have the option hiring kayaks, snorkelling equipment, jet skis and other water sports gear. If relaxation is what you’re mainly looking for, just lie down at one of the numerous nice spots on this tropic beach, while sipping on an exotic cocktail.
