Take a walk through the Small Butterfly Garden

To reach the garden from Koh Samui Aquarium turn right and continue with the road for 500 meters. The Butterfly Garden will be located on your right hand side. It is possible to access the region by scooter.
The garden is small but inside there are waterfalls and a bridge. Rivers run through the garden and butterflies hover over the flowers. It is possible to take photos of the butterflies among the beautiful scenery. This is the ideal outing for families and children will enjoy watching the butterflies.
There are over 25 species in the garden many of them species unique to Thailand with a multitude of colors. At the top of the hill is a museum where you can learn more about butterflies and about the Butterfly Garden. There are also preserved butterflies on display so you can examine the butterflies up close.
Other features of the museum are beetles, spiders and crickets. Refreshments are available and on a hot day you can enjoy ice cream from the shop. Make sure that you try the Butterfly garden’s unique drink, which is their own creation.
Another attraction of the garden is the traditional Thai beehives. At the beehives you can observe the lives of hundreds of bees. It is fascinating to see the bees at work. From the hill there are views over Koh Samui, which provides a good setting to relax after walking through the garden. There is an entrance fee to enter the garden. After your relaxed in the tranquility of the Butterfly Garden head to the nearby Samui Aquarium or zoo.
