Koh Samui features a number of beautiful wildlife species throughout the tropical island paradise, and there are many places that visitors can go to enjoy the wildlife whilst staying on Koh Samui. One of the best places to enjoy some of Koh Samui’s most unique tropical wildlife is the Koh Samui Butterfly Garden. The Butterfly Garden is located in the southeast of the island, opposite the Central Samui Village Resort off 4170 Road.

The Butterfly Garden is considered one of the best attractions for families to enjoy, and every day you can see children enjoying the butterflies here! The Butterfly Garden is a big netted enclosure which sits on a slope. It is quite large, and visitors have the chance to enjoy a peaceful walk around the garden whilst enjoying the many species of butterflies, many of which are particularly rare and exotic. One of the nicest aspects of the Butterfly Garden is that it rarely gets over crowded, despite it being a very popular local attraction. This makes for a particularly peaceful setting to enjoy the butterflies and local flora and fauna inside the enclosure.

There are more than 100 species of butterflies at the Butterfly Garden, including butterflies from Malaysia and Indonesia. There are also a number of rare insects on display at the Butterfly Garden as well as a bee house. If you start to get a bit hot, then you can enjoy the Butterfly Garden’s air-conditioned museum or cool off with an ice-cream and refreshing drink at their cafe.

Entrance is 170 baht, and includes entrance into all of the attractions in addition to a glass of their signature fruit juice.
