Dine By the Sea
Posted by Full mooner on March 11th, 2011 filed in Wining and diningKoh Samui is starting to become recognised for more than just its great beaches. Many people are starting to come to Koh Samui to enjoy the island’s great gastronomic fare. Whether you’re looking for local Thai cuisine, or perhaps a taste of home, you’re sure to find many great dining establishments during your stay in Koh Samui.
One place that I have come to enjoy is By the Sea. This is a restaurant which literally is just by the sea, and one of the reasons that I love it so much is its location. Koh Samui’s sunsets are just magical, and there is not a better way to enjoy a Koh Samui sunset than with a well made cocktail and a delicious meal at By the Sea’s al fresco dining area.
By the Sea is housed within the Destination Beach Resort and Spa complex, not far from the famous Big Budda. Guests are welcomed into the restaurant by the high ceilings and tasteful teak wood fittings. Of course there are lots of smiling and courteous staff to add that special welcoming touch when you arrive as well.
The menu his is long and varied. You can eat at any time of the day and enjoy a wide range of Thai and international dishes. Lunch time is a particularly popular time to come and enjoy the atmosphere and fresh cuisine of By the Sea. You’ll be able to try a number of classic Thai favourites, as well as some more local dishes that you might not have seen on the menu of Thai restaurants back home. All food is prepared by expert chefs using the best quality local ingredients.
By the Sea opens at 10am each morning of the week.
